Delivering hope and encouragement to families in Northern California.
About Us
A Day of Hope is a program of ASI, California State University, Stanislaus. We collaborate with public and community members in conducting fund raising events, working to raise money to purchase food for needy families. The food items are later assembled into baskets and are delivered to Stanislaus County families for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Our mission:
To inspire hope and encouragement for families in need through the compassionate actions of the volunteers and the donation of food, so the families may be able to enjoy a complete holiday meal they would not have had otherwise.
In 2005 we fed 48 families for Thanksgiving
In 2006 we fed 211 families for Thanksgiving
In 2007 we fed 146 families for Thanksgiving
In 2008 we fed 294 families for Thanksgiving
In 2009 we fed 382 families for Thanksgiving!
